Health Insurance Waiver
All affected students will automatically be enrolled in the student health insurance plan. However, you are able to waive this plan if you provide proof of other coverage that meets Wright State's waiver criteria.
As a domestic student, if you already have health insurance through:
- a parent's plan
- a spouse's plan
- TriCare or VA Benefits
- Medicaid or Individual Health Plan
You can submit an online waiver and keep your current coverage, as long as it meets Wright State's waiver criteria.
The waiver/enrollment period for each academic year opens in July prior to the start of Fall Semester.
- No action required for new incoming Summer Semester students
- New incoming student for Spring Semester will have the opportunity to waive the student health insurance plan in November, prior to the start of the Spring Semester.
- Please keep your confirmation email of a successful waiver for your records
Please note: It may take up to five business days after registering for classes before you are able to log in to waive student health insurance.
