The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) sets forth requirements designed to limit the disclosure of student educational records. For more information on Wright State University’s FERPA Policy, please review the official University Policy

Financial aid is considered a part of the student’s educational record. A student who wishes to have hard copies of their financial aid information released must submit a Release of Information Form to Enrollment Services. A student who wishes to grant permission for Enrollment Services to verbally speak with a parent and/or third party must complete the Student Proxy Access.

Please note: Federal regulations prohibit Wright State University to release information verbally or in hard copy to third parties, even with a student’s express written consent, unless the third party is an organization that will assist the student in applying for and receiving financial assistance at Wright State.
