How to Login to your Student Accounts (WINGS, WINGS Express, Pilot, and Email)

Students who are logging into your WSU student account (WINGS) for the first time, please follow the directions below:

  1. Go to your admissions portal
  2. Find an eight-number digit followed by U (ex: U0123####)
  3. Find a number and alphabet letters followed by W (ex: w01#abc)
  4. Find your PIN

After you find them please visit the Wright State University Home Page:

  1. Go to WINGS 
  2. Use your campus username (your w###abc)
  3. Create a password
  4. Once you log in you should see a webpage below

Confirm Your Attendance at Wright State University

Did you get a visa appointment? Fill out the Visa Information Form to let us know if you are attending Wright State! (You need to login to your Wright State account FIRST). We will assign you a Peer Mentor once you complete this form. 


Housing

Most of our international students live in Forest Lane, University Park, and College Park apartments. All these options and more can be found on the housing website.

Sign up for the Fall Semester

Sign up for the full fall semester! Students who sign up with on-campus housing can move in any time after August 1 at no additional cost. Visit the housing website for application information. Note: all applications require a $100 prepayment for that semester.

  • 4 person quad apartment | $2287 housing + $60 residential fee + $200 telecom = $2547 per semester
  • 6 person quad double occupancy room | $1333 housing + $60 residential fee + $200 telecom = $1593 per semester 
  • 6 person quad single occupancy room | $1830 housing + $60 residential fee + $200 telecom = $2090 per semester

Let us know when you are coming

Fill out the Arrival Notification form to let us know about your arrival plans. Once it is completed, we will assign you a Peer Mentor who can assist you with the arrival process.


Transportation

Uber Rides

We offer FREE Uber rides to new students from the Dayton International Airport. You must complete the Arrival Notification Form for the rides!

How to get Uber rides:

  • Download the Uber app to claim your voucher (coupon).
  • Check your email for a voucher link and click the link. 
  • Check your Wallet in the app for the voucher. 
  • Apply your voucher when you request a trip.
  • Type in your housing address or Wright State University for the destination.

Placement Assessments for Undergraduate ONLY

All new Undergraduate students MUST take placement assessments to help determine the proper beginning courses before meeting with their academic advisor.

Academic Advising Information

Undergraduate students: Find Your Primary Advisor

  • Log in to WINGS Express
  • Select "Registration and Records" 
  • Click "View Student Information". The name of your advisor will be listed under Student Information.

Graduate students: Please reach out to your department directly.


How to Register for Classes 

Undergraduate students: You should contact your academic advisor or faculty advisor prior for your course registration (mandatory).

Graduate students: Graduate students will have their department orientation, which is separate from UCIE orientation, and will register for classes during the department orientation. Please contact your department for more information.

Follow these steps to register for classes. You can also download our Class Registration Guide PDF document to see screenshots or watch the video below.

  1. Log in to WINGS using your Campus 'w' username and password.
  2. Select the Student Academics button under Your Launchpad.
  3. Click on Course Registration in the menu on the left.
  4. Select Register for Classes.
  5. Select the term for which you want to see available classes, and click Continue. You may receive notification(s) regarding holds on your account, etc that may need to be resolved before you can continue. 
  6. Enter a combination of the course SubjectCourse NumberCampusLevelPart of Term, and Attribute (Delivery Method) and click Search; or click Advanced Search for more specific options.
  7. Course information will be listed, matching the criteria you provided.
  8. To register for a course, click Add next to the desired course; you should now see the course listed under Summary on the bottom right of your screen.
  9. To finish registering, click Submit in the bottom right corner of your screen.
  10. Click the Search Again button at the top right of the screen to search and register for additional courses.

Note: Co-req courses MUST be taken together. For example: lab and lecture, writing intensive course and its writing component.

Submitting your Medical History via Med+Proctor

Submit your completed medical history.
You can log in with your campus "w" number and password. You have two options:  

  1. Submit your Medical History Information by using the green button and pay $10 (recommended). By choosing this option, you will have the ability to access your uploaded documents at any time, from anywhere.  
  2. Use the gray button to upload documents for free. You will not be able to access your documents in the future. You may have your doctor complete this document to upload.

In preparation for submitting the required immunizations, here is a list of required and recommended immunizations for residents and international students.

Methods of Documentation:

All documentation must contain your name and birthdate.

  • Contact Med+Proctor to acquire an immunization certificate for your healthcare provider to complete (or)
  • Request a copy of the records from your physician or school high school and upload to Med+Proctor (or)
  • Upload to Med+Proctor an image from the page from your Immunization book containing dates of immunizations

Deferral Information

We are no longer accepting deferral applications. If you have an admission decision, the decision is valid for one academic year. You will just need to submit a new application with a new application fee for the following semester and upload your original documents to it.
