Phil Rizz was the associate director of budget and regents reporting for 20 years, retiring in 1992. He died Jan. 31, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital.

James loved life. He was a lover of animals, an avid bicyclist and a fierce handball player. He also loved planting trees. A well-read intellect, his political commentary and sharp wit kept those around him on their toes. He died on Dec 8, 2016, at Miami Valley Hospital, after an amazing life.

Brage Golding, who served as Wright State University’s first president, died Aug. 24, 2016, at his home in San Diego. He was 96.
Known as an innovator with an entrepreneurial spirit, Golding was named Wright State’s president in 1966.
