About Dental Coverage
Employees who are appointed to work on more than a 75 percent Full-time Equivalency basis can elect dental coverage with or without electing medical coverage. This also means that eligible dependents who are not enrolled in medical coverage may be enrolled in dental coverage as long as the employee is enrolled.
Members may receive dental care from any licensed dentist. However, enrollees will receive a higher level of benefits when covered services are obtained from a Delta Dental PPO network dentist.
Delta Dental does not mail dental insurance cards to keep their cost low. Cards can be retrieved from the Delta Dental website, or give your dentist Wright State University’s group plan number: OH-07344.
Additional information about the services provided by Delta Dental Plan of Ohio, including a directory of network dentists, can be found on the Delta Dental website.
New Hires
Benefits are effective the first day of the month following the date of hire. Employees have 31 days from their hire date to enroll in benefits.
Eligible employees may choose to enroll for medical, dental, and/or vision coverage for themselves and eligible dependents. These coverages are not linked and can be elected on an individual basis. There are employee premiums for each coverage and coverage level selected.
Further information about the services provided by Delta Dental Plan of Ohio, including an online directory of member dentists, can be found on their website at www.deltadentaloh.com. Information can also be obtained by calling Delta Dental at 800-282-0749.
Qualifying Life Events
Within 31 days of experiencing a qualifying life event, you may be eligible to make consistent changes to your benefits. Please see our Qualifying Life Events section for more information.
