About the Crisis Management and Means Safety Subcommittee

The Crisis Management and Means Safety Subcommittee is responsible for two core tenets of JED’s Comprehensive approach: Refining and implementing a crisis management procedure and restricting access to potentially lethal means.

13.1 Develop or refine postvention protocol to be consistent with the HEMHA guide Spring 2024: ​​​​​Postvention protocol will be developed and embedded into the emergency operations plan. 14.2 Promote information about how to report/get help for an emergency for both daytime and after-hours Spring 2024: Campus Safety and Raider Cares numbers are regularly shared across campus. Process is currently under review to ensure it meets guidelines. circle-half-stroke In Progress
14.3 Develop 24/7 crisis phone (and/or chat line) through campus resources or local/national services Spring 2024: Raider Cares 24/7 Crisis Lifeline available to all students at 937-775-4567.
