Developed for top-performing high school students who want to attend medical school, the Medical Scholars program provides a pathway for an early interview to medical school at Wright State's Boonshoft School of Medicine. The Medical Scholars program also provides opportunities for academic enhancements, undergraduate research, mentorship, and exposure to medicine—preparing you for success in the next chapter of your academic and professional journey.

Program Admission Criteria

To be eligible for consideration, you must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Minimum unweighted cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or greater
  • Composite score of 1310 or greater on the SAT or a score of 28 or greater on the ACT (no super scoring; test scores are required for this program)
  • United States citizen or possess permanent resident status
  • Flexibility in your choice of major, although pre-medical preparation and requirements will apply
     


Apply to Become a Medical Scholar

To be considered for the Medical Scholars program, submit your Wright State admissions application by December 1 and indicate your interest in the program on your application.
