Research Intern Experience
Get the experience you need to prepare for health professions school by participating in one of our possible summer research programs. Space is limited and research experiences are not guaranteed. You must enroll in a Pre-Health Advantage course to qualify. The student research experience will be reflected on your transcript as a 1- to 3-credit course titled SM 1990: Topics in Science and Mathematics and you will receive a letter grade for your experience.
Lab experiences may include the opportunity to study:
- Effects of lipid metabolism on cardiac and skeletal muscle function
- Genetic predisposition to ALS Lou Gehrig’s disease
- Neurodegeneration and rehabilitation

- You must commit to the Summer Full Term: May 6 to July 25, 2024 session to do a research experience
- Most research experiences require a commitment of 10 to 20 hours per week

The priority date is May 1, 2024.
Costs and Aid
You are not eligible for federal, state, or institutional financial aid as a non-degree student; however, you can apply for alternative loans or sign up for a payment plan. Tuition for an Ohio resident attending as a non-degree student is $426 per credit hour. Your total tuition will depend on the number of credit hours for which you are enrolled.
