Your campus ’w’ username and Office 365 (Wright State email) accounts will soon have the same password.
On or after November 17, the next time you change your password you will only have one password for both accounts. This change will reduce your number of Wright State passwords from three to two. On or after November 17, follow the steps below under "Password Sync Steps" to ensure a smooth transition for your accounts.
Important Notes
- Your UID and PIN will not be affected by this change
- Beginning November 17, all password changes should be done through the “Change Password” tool in WINGS
- The password change feature in Office 365 will still be available. However, this will cause the passwords for your accounts to become out of sync. Doing this is not recommended by CaTS.
- You will need to update your mobile device passwords for both your email apps and ‘WSU-Secure’ wireless network (see steps 2 and 3 below)
Students
- Your new password will be good for the next 5 years, unless you choose to change it yourself
Faculty and Staff
- Your password will still need to be changed every 180 days
