On Wednesday, July 1st at roughly 12 p.m., access to login to Qualtrics, create new surveys, and run reports on active surveys was cut off for all Wright State users. CaTS is aware of this and is working with Qualtrics to resolve this issue.
Users who have links to active Qualtrics surveys are still able to respond and submit surveys. Data from both current and past surveys will not be lost due to this interruption of service.

Qualtrics Login Access Currently Unavailable
Partial Printing Outage for 7/7/20
On Tuesday, July 7, from 8 – 11 a.m., CaTS will be performing upgrades to the software used to configure the swipe card/touch screen enabled Xerox Printers. During this time period, Xerox printers equipped with card swipe readers and touch screen interfaces will be offline.
Printing to Xerox devices that are not card swipe enabled and do not have touch screens will continue to be available during this time.
The affected device models include WorkCentre 6655, WorkCentre 7835 and WorkCentre 7855. All functions of these devices such as scan to email, copy, fax, and printing will be unavailable. This includes all printing to the WSU Secure AD and WSU Secure NOAD print queues.

The Help Desk was recently notified of an email phishing scam that targets Wright State members. The message comes from the email address presidentsusanedwards@gmail.com, with a subject line similar to 'Follow Up'.

Upcoming Panopto Outage for 6/27

Panopto Cloud Downtime - Saturday, June 27th, 9:00 pm to 12:00 am
On Saturday, June 27th, our Panopto cloud site will be upgraded to the latest release. This upgrade will occur from 9:00 pm to 12:00 am EDT. We expect up to 90 minutes of viewer downtime, beginning at the start of the maintenance window. This maintenance impacts Panopto's: Integrations, Processing / Encoding, Recording / Uploading, Search, Video playback, and Panopto's Website.

Notice of Mathway Data Compromise
CaTS has been notified that Mathway, a popular math solving application, recently suffered a data breach, most likely in January 2020. The breach affected approximately 300 thousand Mathway users, some of whom are Wright State students, faculty, and staff.
You have been identified as a customer who used your Wright State email address to sign up for Mathway. Below is information on how you can ensure both your Wright State and personal accounts remain safe:
- If the password you used for the Mathway website is the same password used for any of your Wright State accounts, please change your password for those accounts. Visit wright.edu/accounts for instructions on how to change your passwords. CaTS asks that you make completely unique passwords for your Wright State accounts.
- Go to the Mathway website and change your password immediately.
- If you have used this password for other sites you use, change the password on those sites as soon as possible.

CaTS has been notified that the Chronicle of Higher Education recently suffered a data breach, most likely in February 2020. The breach affected approximately 3.5 million Chronicle of Higher Education users, some of whom are Wright State students, faculty, and staff. The stolen credentials from the breach have also been discovered on publicly accessible sources.
You have been identified as a customer who used your Wright State email address to sign up for chronicle.com (website for the Chronicle of Higher Education). Below is information on how you can ensure both your Wright State and personal accounts remain safe:
- If the password you used for the Chronicle of Higher Education is the same password used for any of your Wright State accounts, please change your password for those accounts. Please be aware that this is a scam. As always, do NOT click on any links or download any documents contained in this email. If you have already clicked on a link and entered any personal information or your Wright State credentials, please reset your Campus 'w' account password immediately.

Network Shared Drive Upgrade for 6/13/20
