Windows 10 Support Information

Monday, July 20, 2015

Microsoft recently announced that Windows 10 will soon be available.
CaTS, in conjunction with departmental tech coordinators, will be
evaluating Windows 10 for compatibility with key applications and
systems. At this time, there are no plans to install Windows 10 on
university-owned computers.

For the time being, Windows 7 will continue to be the supported Windows
version for campus, but as further testing is completed, this could
change. In addition, CaTS will continue to provide limited support for
tablets running Windows 8, when running Windows 7 on the device is not
supported or recommended by the vendor. CaTS will notify the university
of any future plans to adopt Windows 10.

Issues With Tegrity

Monday, July 13, 2015

At this time, CaTS is experiencing problems with Tegrity in the
classrooms. CaTS requested that the Tegrity upgrade not be performed
until after the Summer session ended in August, however Tegrity
performed the upgrade last night. After the upgrade, the recorder on the
classroom workstations needs to be updated to the current version.
Please follow the steps below to update the recorder:

-Enter Tegrity as normal
-After selecting 'Record', you will be prompted to update the recorder
-A page will appear with instructions on how to update the recorder.
Please follow the instructions on this page
-A dialog box will pop up that says 'Preparing for Tegrity Recording...'
-Move the box to the side in order to select 'Run' and continue the update

This update will remain in effect until the machine is turned off or
restarted. If you have any problems or questions, contact the CaTS Help
Desk at (937) 775-4827, or email helpdesk@wright.edu.
